We are always short of time, and as a rule the tourists lack time to visit all places of interest in Norway. Despite the fact that Norway is rather expensive country, every year the number of tourists, choosing this country as a perfect destination, constantly increases. Most of the travelers visit Norway primarily to see its fjords. The fjords are mainly situated in the southwest and north of the country. Sognefjorden, Fordefjorden, Hardanger Fjord and Nordfjord are the best know fjords in Norway. It is better to start the journey around the country from Bergen. Though it is not the capital of Norway but it can boast having a lot of attractions. The Old Town of Bergen has a long history, which is fully represented in various local museums.
Being in Oslo, be sure to see the Edvard Munch Museum and the Viking Ship Museum (Vikinskiphuset). The city has a good choice of galleries: the National Gallery, the Norwegian Museum of Applied Arts. Among the architectural monuments of Oslo the Kongelige Slott (Royal Palace), Stortinget (Parliament Building), the Cathedral and Akershus Castle should be mentioned.
